I think it's as simple as filling up the transfercase or replaceing the fluids, if full, replace the sensor fluid sensor. My guess.. If there isn't a code for it in the scan tool, then there wouldn't be a way the clear the indicator anyway. Anyone?

Unfortunately. The light is only on when it notices a fault. The only suggestion is to take it in to a service shop familiar with the H2. That's not a common problem. I've seen a couple of the shift actuators do that but mostly Transfer Case Control Module. It's hard to tell without diagnosis. Good Luck

ysrjunkie, does it throw a code when either of actuators or TCCM fault? Also, dosn't the Light also come on when low on fluids?

Is it hard to replace the TCCM and/or actuators?

Wheeler. It does set a code but may not be accesible with many aftermarket scanners. It does not indicate fluid level at all. There is not a level sensor in the transfer case. Justin, both are relatively easy but not cheap when guessing.

I recomend finding out what code it has before buying any more parts. The rear electronic diff. locker is also part of that subsystem. You could buy many parts and not resolve the problem if it is a wiring issue or a blown fuse. Good Luck.

Like YSRJunkie said, It's could be a couple things, Shift Actuator or TCCM. See if a local dealer can run a diagnostics and tell you what is causing the code.
