Since I cant find anymore of the recalled fabtech kits I have ordered the Cognito Idler Pivot and the steering support kit.   The fabtech kit is holding up great I just want to be prepared for when they wear out.   After looking at the steering kit I believe it will help out with the center link problems and not let it roll as much.

i recently put all the Cognito steering upgrades and the front leveling kit in my '06.

The ride quality is ALOT better, and the truck steers effortlessly, even with big tires.  Much better steering feel than my truck had even when new.

All highly recommended.

I have put on the pitman and idler arm support system which makes a big difference. My problem is I am trying to put on the Idler Pivot assembly and the instructions are for a 3/4 ton pickup . I have called  cognito and they assure me I have the right part. My h2 bracket is just the opposite long on top and short on the bottom.  Anybody have any ideas.

i had it done at my dealer, and they didn't report any issues.

i'd call Cognito directly and run it by them.

Thanks for the tip Greenblade. I finally got in touch with somebody at coginto who knew what I was talking about. On the H2 the bracket is upside down. you have to cut the gusset off the top of the bracket then weld a support  bracket to the side of it so it does not loose any of its strength. I will work on that tommarow.

I have finally figured things out. The instruction that came with the parts as well as the ones posted are for a 3/4 ton chev not a hummer. The L bracket on page 4 on a hummer goes the opposit way and there is a welded bracket on the top of it that has to be cut.
