I have a 2005 -H2 SUV with less than 35,000 miles. The Transmission will not release from park. I have check the fuses for the breaks and the fuses for the transmission release . Nothing seems to work. I even checked and filled the brake fluid resovoir. Any thoughts short of having it towed to a shop ??

A t25 torx will remove the bolt in the front of the shift lever, then make sure that when you press the brake, you can push down the center rod in the shift assembly. If that allows you to shift, it is possible the handle is not low enough to press that rod.
