Status: offline 		Well its the same 6L V8 found in chevy and GMC trucks so you should have enough power.

How is that going to work w/o a bed for the 5th wheel?

Yes, As long as you dont have a wagon or a slant back. The military has a version for a communications set. It uses a carriage assembly that mounts in the Hummer. The trailer is a tandem axle flatbed that uses the same radial tires as the Hummer. The limiting factor is the loss of the entire cargo area to accommodate the hitch/carriage assembly .

Status: offline 		The 1998 trucks are rated to pull 8600 pounds. It will pull more just not very fast.
