I have a black 05 H2 with chrome mirrors.  I've decided to black out all chome and turn my baby in to a Stealth.  I've been to two body shops and no one wants to paint the side mirrors to match the car as they say it will peel.  Can anyone help me with a solution?   SAre the chrome mirror covers just plastic?  Does anyone make replacements?  Thank you for your help!

I can't think of any reason why you can't paint your mirrors. With appropriate prep and correct paint you should be able too. I think most of the mirrors are plastic. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think paint mirrors would be cool. black?

They can be painted.  Just to make sure to prep the mirror good first.  It would be cheaper and easer to buy a set of take offs and put them on. Its a easy project to do.
