Everyone deals with lose in their own way. This mother did it with an H2. Another mother some time ago did it with a H3 Here. Amazing paint work and time went into these rides, nothing compared to the time lost with their loved ones. God Bless.
The life and memory of a Roseville soldier killed in Afghanistan is being remembered in a mother’s heartfelt tribute.
Roseville mother Deborah Getz commissioned an Arkansas artist to turn a 2007 Hummer into a moving memorial to her son, Army Ranger Kristofer Thomas.
Thomas, a Roseville High School graduate, was killed in the Feb. 18 crash of a MH-47 Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan.
Thomas and the faces of the other seven soldiers killed in the crash are immortalized on the vehicle.
"When (people) see this memorial Hummer, they need to realize our soldiers are fighting for our freedom," Getz said. "This is about our fallen soldiers. They need not be forgotten."
Getz’ said her first trip in her new Hummer will be to the cemetery to see her son.
