I have heard that you can do a bypass, not sure if it's only aftermarket option or not, you can take look at this website.

I have a 2006 Hummer H2 with the luxury package that comes with the bose system.  In it is the 6 disk in dash cd player. i am wanting to swap it out for a factory nav system how do i know which one to buy that would work in my truck? i understand that it is as easy as plug and play, and can you play DVDs in that system? If you can play DVD is it possible to bybass it to watch while driving??

The above link will allow you to. If you look on ebay you will find some info on factor Nav options. Most explain what to look for and if will work with your year. You will also need to have it sync'd with you vin, this can be done at the dealer or NAV the seller can do it for fee.
