30 drivers needed for the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital Event! If interested PLEASE email TGCHOG@yahoo.com .
Along with the Alvin Police Department we will be doing the MD Anderson Children's Cancer Hospital event again this year. If you were not able to help out last year please go to our website ( www.TGCHOG.org ) and view the photo album to see all the smiles this event brought to the kids and their families. This event will be held on Saturday September 22ND. It will be the same as last time. The kids and their families will be brought from the hospital to the dealership by bus ( escorted by the Alvin Police Dept. ) where they will have hot dogs and other treats. We will take the kids over the test track ( something they absolutely loved the last time!) and then we will load everyone up in the Hummers and be escorted by Alvin PD to the Johnson Space Center where the kids will spend a few hours. We will take them back to the dealership and they will load back on to the buses and head back to the hospital. If you are only able to help out with a few events THIS is the one to help with. The kids and their families enjoyed this so much last year. Other Business: We will be moving from monthly meetings to quarterly meetings. We are also working on setting up a calendar on the club's website and getting it updated more. I will still be sending out emails with information and reminders but please try to check the website to see what events are coming up. In an effort to make things a bit more efficient we are also working on making ALL club membership fees due in April. I will send out more information on this as we get it worked out. PLEASE keep an eye out for more emails with information on the Hummer Happening October 27th and the MD Anderson event on Sept. 22nd.
