The formidable 4x4 HUMMER brand is set to unleash its hard-hitting, fun-loving spirit this weekend (13 and 14 October) at its ‘Happening’ event as part of the launch of the new right-hand drive HUMMER H3.

Motorists visiting the special Bauer Millett demonstration site at The City of Manchester Stadium will be able to sample a combination of traditional on-road test-drives and a challenging off-road experience - the thrilling HUMMER ‘Metal Mountain’ 4x4 course. Climbing a near-vertical 22-feet in the rugged HUMMER H3 with a professional 4x4 expert, occupants will get a spectacular view of the surrounding area while enjoying the ‘HUMMER Happening’ event.

“We are delighted to have been operating the UK’s first dedicated HUMMER sales facility since 2002 and to be launching the new HUMMER H3 to the Manchester audience,” commented Mitch Millett, managing director. “I’m sure that this weekend’s H3 launch event will be fantastic and visitors will be thrilled by the enormous Metal Mountain we are constructing.”

The new right-hand-drive HUMMER H3 is the latest model from the iconic 4x4 brand and makes its North Western UK debut at the weekend launch event. Designed to meet consumer demand for a luxurious everyday driving vehicle, the HUMMER H3 offers the brand’s imposing presence and legendary performance both on- and off-road, in a more compact package.

Roughly the same length as a large family saloon, the 4,782 mm long H3 easily navigates city traffic, yet still delivers HUMMER’s trademark crawling and climbing capability off-road. The H3 is powered by a responsive 3.7-litre, 244 hp petrol engine and is the first HUMMER to offer customers a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.

Visitors to the Bauer Millett event will see the cars perform both off-road and on-road roles in the hands of HUMMER’s advanced driving team before trying out the HUMMER experience for themselves on special road routes.

On-the-road prices for the right-hand drive HUMMER H3 start from £26,495 for the introductory model and rise to £32,995 for the luxury version.
