I have the same ones sitting in my house. Just waiting for the SAW T-Bars to come in. I got the Fox shocks also, which are already in. Can't wait to get the shackles and T-Bars on also. Is there anything special about installing them? Or is it as easy as pulling out two bolts on each side. Which is the top and which is the front?

The short side is on the bottom most of the time. When mine get here I will let you know for sure. I have the sam co t bars ordered but they will be a while before they get here. What was the turn around time on the SAW T bars? We have the fox shocks on our H2 and they do a great job. The only reason I did not put them on the H is I was looking at the extended length shocks.

The short side being the end that is radiused on both sides and open? And do they go on the front or back hanger? I got my bars from Samco also. Doesn't he get them from SAW? I think I remember them being 4 weeks out when I bought them, and that was about 2 weeks ago.

I got the bars last week and installed them today. Very easy install. Very big difference in the on-the-road handling of the truck. All positive. The brake drop and shift drop are almost gone. Did you get your bars yet, Auggie? And did you install the shackles? I am planning to put the shackles in next weekend. Any tips?

My sway bars are supposed to be here next week. I have not had time to mess with the shackles yet. I will keep you updated.

I've seen several also, but it's not near the top of my list yet, so I haven't really looked into it. I'm going to try and do the shackles this Sunday, hopefully I have time. A guy on another site was saying he removed the shocks, and sway bar, and some abs and brake lines. Just wondering if you really need to do all that or is we can just jack it up and remove the shackle.

I tried but failed. I started on the drivers side. I undid the shocks, loosened the sway bar, undid the abs clip, jacked her up and took the tire off and undid the stock shackle. The leaf spring will not release down enough to allow me to line up the spring and shackle bolt holes. The rear of the leaf is pressed up against the frame mounting point. It looks like I need to get the leaf to hang down lower, but how? I gave up and put the stock shackle back on. Which was a pain itself because of the leaf being pressed up against the frame mounting point. Very frustrating. The write-up I read on this made it sound simple, so I must be doing something really wrong. Anyone close to central Maryland? :)

Hey 6pack, How did you jackup your H3? if you did it by the axle, try doing it from the side or use Jackstands on the frame. This should allow the axle to drop as far as you need. Just a guess. Justin

I jacked it up with a jack under the leaf mounting point with the axle, then put a jack stand on the frame just in front of the forward spring perch. I had the tire off and the brake assembly still had another 6-8 inches to drop before it hit the ground, so I'm not sure what was keeping it from dropping more.

Another thing I have noticed was the rear passenger side is lower than the rear drives side. When I measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender, the passenger side measures 1-1/2" less than the drivers side. Any idea why? I want to try the shackles again but want to figure out if this is something I should have fixed first. I don't want the dealer telling me the shackles messed it up. :\

Its not uncommon for the trucks to be that far offf. Have it fixed before you put the shackles on.

The torsion bars are out of adjustment. They will need to crank on the low side to level it out. Then is has to be aligned if it is to far out of adjustment.

Really? I measured the front of the vehicle and the front tires are the same distance from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender. My problem is the rear wheels. It's like the passenger side leaf is not arched as much as the driver side.

You may have a different problem than most. I have not seen any with bad springs yet.

Okay. I go in on Saturday. We'll see what they say. Since they might end up taking the spring off anyway, maybe I'll see if they can put the new shackles on.
