Has anyone had a similar problem if so please tell me your experience.  Here it is: My H2 has started loosing air from the rear suspension system on a inconsistant basis.  Most often it is after the H2 has been parked overnight or even during day on medium length stops. Sometimes it happens while I'm driving.  All of a sudden my rear view mirror image is of the ground behind the truck and the ride is like crap!  It almost always pumps back up when I restart the vechile. My local Mechanic did a leak test, ie. soap and water on lines and compressor, to no avail.  He didn't detect any leaks, however he did repair a sensor arm in the left wheelwell about a month ago.  Today it happened while driving, and the "service air suspension" message came up on the steering display.  I immediately drove over to my mechanic  and he was able to see it in the fully "lowered" mode.  He thinks the control module next to the compressor might have a bug in it.  If so does anyone have an opinion on that. I am very reluctant to take it to the local dealer, since they have been unreliable on other issues, in fact i don't trust any dealer anymore.  I'm tired of looking luck ive had the rear end lowered. HELP!

I've seen them leak inconsistently like that and not show a leak because of the air springs starting to crack at the point where it rolls into the seat. That is the area that flexes most and is difficult to see. It may only leak when you get it in that "sweet spot". I'd say it is a safe bet that if you replace both, your problem will stop. The light may have come on due to the compressor overheating and going into safe mode. This is more likely if your H2 is more than a couple of years old. The same thing is happening as old tires when you see them crack with age.
