Has anyone installed a Gibson header/exhaust set up?
  1. How difficult is the install
  2. Performance gains, noticeable???
  3. Sound, wonder if it will rumble too much in the cab?

Also, installing the Volant CAI w/ MAF, should I then consider reprogramming ECU or should I swap out the ECU?  Looking for some advice from anyone with actual knowledge.

Thanks, BDOG

I have an '03 h2

Installed the Volant CAI w/ MAF and noticed slight power and a definite increase in MPG!!!!!

Worried that the Gibson set up, headers & exhaust might not be the best choice. Not looking for extreme gains, looking for overall better performance, torque at low end, increased HP and slightly better gas mileage.

If money was not an issue I would have purchased the Corsa exhaust or Bassani exhaust, however for the price of just the exhaust alone I was able to purchase the Gibson dual sport, and Gibson ceramic headers?

Should I look next at reprogramming ie predator programmer?

I found the most gain in power and mileage when I programmed my H3.  The exhaust and intake only helped a little, mostly making it louder.

I also installed the Air Raid Tube with the Volant CAI.

I had the gibson headers and exhaust on my 06. Its a easy install and there was a little more noise inside the cab but not much. If I did gain any performance it was a small amount but it sounded good.

Thanks Justin, I did purchase the full Volant unit which included the air tube and MAF. Definitely noticed some power this weekend as I drove over 300 miles. However on my return home check engine light came on? Going to continue running to see if the ECU recals. also going to purchase either a predator programmer or a complete new rap torq performance ECU from predator motorsports any suggestions?

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Can anyone tell me if they have a preference between Corsa or Gibson exhaust. I'm looking to put an Airaid intake, throttle body spacer, and exhaust. Trying to increase fuel milage and performance. But mainly fuel milage. If anyone can give me some suggestions, along with cost. I wuld appreciate it!!!!

The Corsa exhaust is going to be the higher end sytem.  It is quieter inside the cab compared to the Gibson.  Plus it still sounds good outside.  But you will probably pay almost twice the amount of money campared to the Gibson.  When I had my H3 I put the Gibson extreme dual exhaust system and loved it.  But it is louder inside and outside.  Both systems you should get better performance.  There won't be a big difference between the two as far as performance goes.  But I will tell you that in order to satisfy your performance needs you will have everything that you mentioned.  Anyway Check these out and maybe it will help out some.  www.gibsonperformance.com...  http://www.corsaperformance.com/hummerh3.htm
