The front diff is a non-servicable part at this time. You have to buy the whole case. Does anybody know where I can buy the insides to one?

Man. I can't find poop. I think they are keeping the specs and the part #'s for the H3 American Axle front differential with Jimmy Hoffa. I did find this though http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRONT-CARRIER-DIFFERENTIAL-2006-HUMMER-H3_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33731QQhashZitem230071821362QQihZ013QQitemZ230071821362QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

The factory now says it is a serviceable part. So we will see if it cheaper to rebuild. Another question for yrsjunkie is the diff the same for 06 and 07. Another words can they  be swaped out if needed. I might add this to my trail parts list

Well, I would like to tell you that we were wheelin on this awsome trail, but....

She was simply driving down Hwy 6 and it started acting up. Brought it in and put it on the lift and they found a tooth broken off in one of the gears. This is easily repaired, I'm just thinking of the "what ifs".  I want to have one if it happens on an awsome trail somewhere.

I would have thought that on such a tough off road vehicle they would have been a little more heavy duty than that.

Any time you put something in the dirt you always run a chance of breaking something. Looks like in this case it might have been wounded from the last trip? However that H3 is well taken care of, so it most likely was a faulted ring set.
