Tim, found something that might work with your H3 cooling issue. I think this baby should fit in front of your radiator. It's 3-1/2" thick so it might fit under the hood latch braket.
Flex-a-lite's compact dual electric fans are designed for import and domestic performance applications. The compact electric fan is reversible to mount either as a pusher in front of the radiator, or as a puller behind the radiator. The unit replaces the existing belt-driven clutch and fan increasing gas mileage, horsepower, extending water pump life and reducing drag on the engine. The Compact electric fan measures 25 ½"x 12 3/8" x 3 ½", pulls 2029 Cubic feet per minute and draws up to 14 ½ amps. One-piece glass reinforced nylon shroud surrounds dual 11" fan blades. I have a set for a 97 Chevy truck that pull 5500 CFM. I had to pull them off be cause of the amp draw on the controller and wiring. This unit draws less than half of what mine do but make sure you have really good connections with these or heat can build up and damage control components. Use 30 or 50 amp relays to control the main power. I noticed conciderable increases in throttle response and power with my fans, I am planning on building a custom control assembly and put them back on.
IMO your better off mounting them as a puller, that way at freeway speeds you have less obstruction of the cooling air moving accross the radiator and a/c coils. All in all, great product.
