I have 2003 H2-in the 8 months that I owned it- randomly I'll go to drive it in the morning and the battery is dead. Have brought it to 2 dealers one said nothing wrong. One said it's probably a relay-but in order to find they would have to catch it malfunctioning. Since months have gone by in between incidents -this is not a great solution as they said it could take that long to find it. I've replaced the battery-. Anyone experience this?

That's a delicate subject. I've seen a couple 03's with an onstar module staying awake and drawing down a battery. One thing I suggest is once the battery is replaced or power is lost, press the onstar button in a open area just long enough to let it ring. That will force it to re-aquire a gps signal wich I believe is the reason it stays awake. If there are any electrical accesories, I would suggest checking them. Under the right conditions some of the early air suspension modules did the same. I'd suggest getting it to a electrical Hummer specialist and be patient. It is difficult and I hope you find a resolution. Good luck and welcome to HUMMERtech.net

Does it have a aftermarket alarm on the truck. We have had a lot of problems with them. They have a parasitic draw that will draw the battery down fast.
03 h3 no start ,has been perfect untill today. turn the key NOTHING batt is new no fuses blown ,its like the security system is craped out ,any help would be great .
Mine does exactly the same thing: sometimes it can go for days and be okay and then it will fail in a few hours and the battery is so dead I cannot get the key out. Any suggestions/ideas greatly appreciated.
Sorry, should have added that mine is an 03 H2 and I too have replaced the battery, checked the alternator etc etc. It has no aftermarket alarm. Can the On-star be disabled by removing a fuse or something to eliminate that? Something pretty substantial is handling a lot of current to drain down a battery that size so quickly.....
I to am experiencing a battery issue with this 04 / H2 i had recently purchased. The battery went dead one day and I jump started it from my other car and let it run for about an hour in the drive. I did notice that the battery was very hot! I figured the battery was bad and replaced it with a new Diehard same amps and it ran fine for a while. I am currently over seas working and my bud looks in on it ever so often to start it up along with my other vehicles. Well he told me that the battery was dea and didn't start. and when he checked on it he found the battery was very Hot once again. I don't understand why the battery gets so HOT! Is there anyone that may have an idea what is happening. The vehicle is not being driven ,the new battery has been on a Diehard tender with little to no amp chrging. The original battery was the original battery with the hummer thats what I thought the problem was. The new battery is only 4 months old and now it's dead.
