I have an old 85 dodge 1-ton four door pick-up that I purchased in 2001 in Reno. The Tranny went out in 2004 and I decided to take the opportunity to convert it to a 4X4. It has been sitting for a while. I have all the parts but have been too busy to start. Now I need a place to do the work (apt. managers get testy for a simple jumpstart)

I have been looking into a new twist. I am looking at putting the axles from a military hummer under the truck. Kind of fitting as this is an old Air Force truck.

As soon as I get a new camera I will take some photos as things come along.

Thats cool! We want pictures! You can put those Hummer rims on a Dana 60 and a GM 12 bolt I believe. However, you will need some spacers for fit.

OK Plans have changed. Instead of using my Dodge for the conversion I have decided to use my 1971 Ford truck. I would post a photo of the truck but the size is too big.
