Vehicle: 2006 HUMMER H2 6L (V8) GAS FI vin: U
The 8th digit of the vin designates which engine the vehicle is equipped.

HyperPAC - HyperPAC, the worlds first Performance Automotive Computer, packed with FIVE distinct programs...Performance Tuning, Drag Strip, Dynamometer, Engine Monitor, and Diagnostics, with more exciting new software programs on the way.

Power Programmer III for Chevy/GM Vehicles - Increasing horsepower and torque is as simple as pushing a button with Hypertech's Power Programmer III! You simply plug the Power Programmer into the underdash diagnostic plug answer a series of Yes/No questions and the Power Programmer does the rest.

Take a look at the Dyno Chart!

And do you know if improving the performance and giving it a boost will hurt the engine ? What about warranty?

I wouldn't be leery about performance parts like bolt-ons. Exhaust systems, Intake kits and computer programming are standard practice to gain more Horse power. The key is that you can always keep your OEM parts and put them back on if you are given any trouble.

Bolt-ons will not void warranty one bit. However programming will, to some ability. My SUV is programmed and every time I take it for work, I return the programming back to stock in case they have to update/flash the ROM.

Giving your Engine a "boost" will rarely hurt your engine. The key is that performance parts improve performance an allow the engine to operate more efficiently, thus increasing longevity. However In most cases, like an exhaust system, you tend to keep you foot in it because you like the sound of it. This would decrease efficiency and cost you more in gas!

Glad to help Nodnarb, yes the diablo is the best choice if you are inclined, most just want Yes or No questions. Please post your finding on the Diablo programmer and what you liked! That woudl be great info for others.

On the plugs, I checked with MTI on this years ago, I don't think you will really fell or notice any differance with the standard NGK over the Iridium's. If I remember correctly, the TR-55's are the size you need, please double check.

Justin,

Have you used the Max Energy or the Max Energy Econ?

I am thinking about purchasing one of those.

Thanks for the feedback.

Welcome! I have not used the new controllers from Hypertech. I would be eager to find out what the actual performance benifits are over the standard unit. Anyone?
